It's the 7th!  A is now 18 months and hopefully we are really close to hearing something... but no news in 2012 yet.  I can't wait to start hearing good news and see all these cute babies coming home including ours... although I guess he's outgrown the term "baby"!

We had a wonderful Christmas.  We had a nice long weekend with family and opened presents, ate lots of good food, played games and watched movies.  It was a perfect last Christmas of sleeping in and doing adult things... Christmas 2012 will be much different!  This year, A got some new clothes, books (Seuss!) and toys.  He also received his first Husker item which I am not happy about (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!).  Oh well, I guess it had to start some time.  He will get plenty of Buffalo items from my side of the family.  Let the fighting begin!! :)

We had a great New Year's Eve, too.  We went to a jazz bar with some friends and had a blast ringing in the new year with some of our favorite people!  We also got to wear some really stylish party hats...

Since we are doing a Seuss room, I have a tendency to gravitate towards anything Seuss related.  It's hard to not buy everything in sight because it's all so cute.  We were at Barnes & Noble last night and they had a cute book about Dr. Suess.  I decided to refrain and instead bought an elephant book... he'll need some variety, after all!

Here's to a great 2012, and hoping that we get a phone call soon...
