So Mother's Day came and went. It was a little sad because of the above news, but is always nice to be with family. I got gorgeous flowers from M, got some cute onsies and books for A from Grandma and Grandpa, lots of nice cards and a necklace with A's picture and name on it from a friend!
The rest of May was kind of uneventful - same things as usual. M playing ball, working, trying to get caught up on yardwork, etc. I got another cold, have been busy at work, and have too many things to do and not enough time to do it (guess I could get off the computer and get to my "list"... right?). It has been rainy and gray for a good two weeks solid now. Sick of it! I miss seeing the sun! The weather has ruined our camping trip for Memorial Day weekend. I was excited since it would have been Bear's first camping trip. I guess she will just have to have her first camping experience next month. A couple of weekends ago we went to check out the campsite with friends and Ranger and Bear went nuts running around playing and exploring, it was fun!
The campsite is just behind some of these trees. And yes, that is fresh snow you see on the trees. Perfect for camping, don't you think?
Ranger - such a good camping dog!
Bear had so much fun running around, she was hard to keep up with!
So back to the lots of things to do - since we have lots of time until we travel, I'll be totally done with all my classes by the time my little guy gets home, and we have lots of books on adoption and parenting to finish reading, we have painting and other projects (good thing M is such a good handyman carpenter mechanic extraordinaire!). We want to build a bookcase that looks similar to this for A's room.
Isn't that awesome?!?!? And I might try to put together a Dr Seuss quilt for him, too. By "I", what I really mean is that I am going to beg my mom for help! We found some really cute fabrics online and think we are smart enough to put together a simple one. Right?!?? Right!!!
